Incentive Trips to Remember
Every quarter, we have the pleasure of whisking a group of high performing employees away on an incentive trip to remember.
A group of 10 high performing employees qualify for the quarterly trip as part of our clients ‘Employee Recognition Awards Scheme’, and every few months, we have the pleasure of organising a once in a lifetime trip to a European destination. This time, the group were treated to 2 days and 2 nights of unique activities in and around the city of Vienna.
Vienna has been called the “City of Music” due to its musical legacy, as many famous classical musicians called Vienna home. Its most iconic dish, the Wiener Schnitzel, dates back to the early 19th century, and it’s been a common favourite throughout the city in all the years since. With this in mind, a trip here wouldn’t have been complete without a night at the opera and of course, a traditional Austrian cooking class.
Here at Strive, we know that reward schemes and incentive trips stand as powerful tools for engaging and motivating your people, building a culture of appreciation and recognition. These initiatives not only provide unforgettable experiences that enrich personal and professional growth but also build a sense of belonging and loyalty within the team, which is why we love planning these unique experiences for our client.
With private transfers, welcome hampers, a stacked agenda and a team on hand to help at all times, we ensure these programmes truly are a once in a lifetime experience.
Our group stayed in a luxury hotel right in the centre of Vienna – the perfect location for the activities we had planned for the trip.
Here’s a snapshot of what they got up to;
- Private guided tram tour of Vienna – arguably the best way to see the main sights of the city.
- Traditional Austrian cookery workshop – a hands-on activity that got the group rolling up their sleeves, donning their aprons and learning how to make a traditional Austrian dish .. and of course, then devouring it for lunch!
- A night at the Opera – it would be a crime to visit Vienna and not go to the opera. Wiener-Staatsoper, the Vienna State Opera, is one of the world’s leading opera houses. We organised a VIP experience for our group with drinks and nibbles.
- Cocktails in one of Vienna’s most luxurious 5* hotels.
- Dinner at a contemporary Austrian restaurant where white-gloved waiters serve refined creative cuisine. Here the group enjoyed a delicious 7-course tasting menu in a beautiful private dining room.
We loved being able to bring this group of people together for such a unique experience, exploring all that this incredible city has to offer. If only we would have stayed for a week ..
For the Strive team, the highlights of this trip were:
- We loved the fact that 80% of the group had never met any of their colleagues before the trip to Vienna, so it was really great to see everyone get to know each other and the positive impact that the trip had on them.
- The feedback from this group was really positive, with key comments not just about the general trip but a strong focus on how they felt valued and rewarded for all their hard work by their company. Seeing happy guests is why we do what we do!
- The dinner on the first evening was truly quite something. It was an unforgettable experience as the guests were treated to a sensational menu followed by an army of hospitable waiters that served guests from a bread cart offering more than 25 different varieties of breads, followed by a decadent cheese cart; again with over 25 cheeses, and then at last but certainly not least was the impressive schnapps trolley containing over 50 different flavours and strength Schnapps. A dining experience that the guests talked about for the rest of the trip (and we’re still talking about it now!)
- And to top it off, the experience of having the ‘President’s Box’ at the famous Vienna Opera House to watch the premier of ‘George Orwell’s Animal Farm’ was definitely a highlight – absolutely breathtaking!
.. we can’t wait for the next trip!
